The individual from the Happy documentary that I related to the most was the man from Louisiana who got to see new nature everyday and spend time with his family while living off the land. The reason I related to him the most was because I know I would also receive enjoyment and pleasure from living in a similar way. I enjoy seeing new nature, and have gone camping to many different national parks; including Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Bryce, and others and enjoy seeing the different animals in their natural habitats such as bears, elk, deer, owls, bats, foxes, and others. The man in a similar manner said he enjoyed going down the river and seeing the alligators and different animals in Louisiana and said it helps to release the stress of the day. I also enjoy taking pictures of sunsets and seeing the details in nature that many people overlook. In the documentary it showed some very nice video of where the man lived. The documentary also showed the man eating crab with his family and saying how they all enjoy each other’s company, I related to this because I truly love spending time with my friends and just talking and hanging out and eating together. You don’t have to worry about stress or schoolwork and can just spend time with people who you love.
The man from Louisiana received pleasure and happiness because he got to choose how to live. He didn’t have alot in terms of material items, but he had alot of happiness from the beauty around him and his loved ones around him and I think that is a good way to live.
